Prior to "Musical Appreciation Day" a music workshop was conducted on Friday, December 2, 2011 and Saturday December 3, 2011. This workshop was conducted by Reverend Michael Harris from Lee's Chapel in Cedar Grove, NC.
The choir performing during the Musical Appreciation Day service is comprised of individuals participating in the music workshop.
